My Story

I grew up in a small farming town in central Minnesota and met a sweet farm boy covered head to toe in Mike’s Hard Lemonade, wearing an American flag tank top @winstockmn. It was game over… called my mama that night and told her I met my future husband. Six years later I married that farm boy & we’ve got the sweetest little cowkid, Ada James.

A few year later I was diagnosed with PCOS, polycystic ovarian syndrome & was told I may never have babies. So, I put my head down and I learned as much as I could about good food for reproductive health, hormonal imbalance, etc.

My background lies heavily in sports nutrition and eating disorders. I’ve got a master’s degree in Exercise Science and Sports Nutrition, helping me do my job daily—teaching farmers, farm wives, ranchers, cowboys, vets, nutritionists, seed salesman, milk haulers, you name it “our important people in agriculture”, how to fuel themselves like “an athlete” so they can fuel the world a little better, too. Inspired by my husband’s shotty nutrition habits, I learned and saw firsthand how selfless these men and women in agriculture are, often hearing, The cows eat before we do.”

Well, y’all, I’m on a mission to change exactly that—I want our world’s food producers to see that eating before the cows just might make their job easier, increase their energy, boost immunity, make their bones and joints less painful, improve their sleep, and a whole host of other cool things.

Inspired by my 4th generation farmer husband’s nutrition, I pivoted my role as an aspiring sports dietitian to fueling farmers, ranchers & cowboys like the athletes they truly are.

No secrets, no fad diets, and no restrictions.

As your dietitian, I’m not here to food shame you or promote guilt around your food choices or preferences. I'm here to build you up, increase your knowledge, and enhance your skills in areas that YOU like.
